Messaging needs more setup than most tools, because operators and Meta must approve your sender details. This plan gets you sending within a week.

Day 1: Account and credits

  • Complete your business profile with GSTIN and address.
  • Add message credits from Billing > Credits using UPI or net banking.

Day 2: DLT registration

  • Register your business entity on an operator DLT portal if you have not done so already.
  • Submit your sender IDs, also called headers, and your message templates for approval.

Day 3: Load DLT details

  • Enter your entity ID, approved headers and template IDs under SMS > Templates.
  • Send a test SMS to your own number for each template.

Day 4: WhatsApp Business API

  • Start number onboarding from WhatsApp > Setup and complete business verification.
  • Submit your first templates, such as order updates or appointment reminders.

Day 5: Contacts

  • Import contacts from Excel into groups, noting how each list gave consent.
  • Remove every number that has opted out.

Day 6: First campaign

  • Send a small campaign to 100 contacts before using the full list.
  • Check delivered, read and failed counts in the delivery report.

Day 7: Developers and automation

  • Generate an API key and test OTP delivery with the sandbox key.
  • Add a delivery webhook, then build a simple WhatsApp menu in the chatbot builder.
Tip: Template approvals can take a day or two, so submit them on day 2 even if you plan to send later.
